Shalom Chicago – A History of Jewish Chicago

Chevre,

Please join us for a guided tour of the exhibit “Shalom Chicago” at the Chicago History Museum (1601 N. Clark – @ North Ave) on Sunday, March 3. This fascinating exhibit explores Chicago’s diverse Jewish community from the 1840’s to today. Using personal stories, over 300 artifacts, and multimedia programs, the exhibit explores how a small but dynamic community helped shape modern Chicago.

We will meet at the museum at 1:15pm and our tour will begin at 1:30pm. The cost per person is $14 and can be paid at the door, but reservations are necessary. Please RSVP to Renee Kaplan at djkap@aol.com or by calling (847)945-7447. Carpools are also being set up so let Renee know if you are interested. This event is open to everyone so bring a friend!

For anyone interested in a nosh before the tour, we will meet at the North & Clark Café housed inside the museum at 12:00 noon.

L’shalom,
Renee
