Dear friends,
After a year and a half of sharing the spirituality of learning, prayer and social action, we are now well under way towards establishing a foundation for our “intentional community.” This coming Shabbat morning we will continue to deepen the work begun a month ago – as well as our relationships with one another. Our sacred task this time will be to establish a mission statement that reflects our goals and aspirations, as well as determining the values by which we want to build and grow.
Here’s how we’ll do it:
9:00 Coffee and bagles; time to schmooze
9:30 Panim el Panim - face to face conversations that share individual perspectives about the current successes of B’Chavana
9:45 Torah study
10:15 Finishing the Mission Statement – communal dialogue and design of B’Chavana’s mission statement
11:30 Articulating our Values
12:15 Kiddush and potluck luncheon
We hope you’ll join in this creative venture; your voice is welcome and appreciated.
We’ll meet at the home of Shari and Mark Rangell: 6208 Pine Tree Dr., Long Grove.
Please let Shari know of your plans right away so that she can coordinate the potluck breakfast and lunch: 847-363-3287 (c); shari.rangell@comcast.net.
L’shalom,
Marc
